Shadow and Sol

A large, fluffy cloud floats across the night sky, borne by a gentle breeze like a ship on a black sea. As it sails towards a glowing crescent moon Fairy Shadow leaps from its cottony depths. She soars up through cool night air and lands gracefully upon the moon which bobs about for a moment then slowly sinks into the cloud’s soft embrace. Stars trail after it like a glittering school of fish. She uses her little paws to safely tuck them away and when she is done, she then looks across to her sister Fairy Sol. Her turn now. She gets to work kneading the cloud and rays of shimmering light emerge. She paws aside fluffy wisps revealing the sun and once freed, it begins to rise. The sky turns gold and the world below wakens to the start of a new day.
